In 2010, the largest horse seizure/rescue of equines in the state of Tennessee resulted in the removal of 86 horses from dire conditions in Cannon County. The case highlighted unity amongst the horse community, multiple rescues, and law enforcement to come together in such an important undertaking. One such horse in the group was a skinny 2 year old chestnut pony. Under the care of many volunteers she was dubbed "Pumpkin" and was thriving! When it came time to look for a home, one of the volunteers jumped at the opportunity. Pumpkin received all the love, care, and proper training she needed to become an amazing equine citizen and has been a steady, constant friend. When life led to needing a new home for Pumpkin, her owner was given the recommendation by people to reach out to us and we’re so glad she did! Pumpkin will step in to help lighten the workload for our older Session horses and build relationships with children who need a caring, trustworthy pony in their life.
